So, normally... I don't have alcohol. Like, really at all. I'm a mom, so I try to be a relatively responsible individual as much as possible, even if it is in my nerdy and weird way. But last night...

To set the scene up, Thursday was my son's birthday. He is two, and still growing cuter every day. Thursday was also the start of my husband having 9 days off from work, and then Friday was the day that one of our best friends had *his* vacation start, and since he now lives in Portland, Oregan, and is a truck driver, we don't see him much... So we arranged to go to the Ren Faire together. That'll be today. But last night?

We hit the ABC store on our way down the mountain from Boone where we left Damian with his grandparents for the night. When we got to the area where our hotel room was, we got our Ren Faire tickets (you can save a few bucks buying them at a particular grocery store chain) and Joe bought a 6 pack of beer, and then we went to our hotel.

Cue drinking. Over the course of about 2 hours, I had 10 large drinks plus some erstwhile sips here and there. My 750ml bottle of Midori is about 3/4 gone and I drank most of that. I also put a beating on the bottle of mead we finished off. And I had some of the sour apple something or other, and maybe a shot's worth of Hypnotiq, plus a large guzzle of Yuengling as a penalty for losing a hand of poker. For the first time that I can identify, I was well and truly *drunk*.

And here it is 6 hours later and I'm still a little tired, but I otherwise feel kind of amazing. But, there's every chance that I'm still a little buzzed, so it's a good thing that I'm not driving at all today. XD

Now, to shower and go get dressed in my wenchy best and then I'm off to see people at the Ren Faire.
