Health update:

I went to the ophthalmologist yesterday to try to find out more about what's going on with my right eye. We were able to narrow it down to a problem with one of the nerves in my eye not working. (Basicallt, my right eye can't look right at the moment.) However, so far we haven't determined the cause. The doctor said he wouldn't have batted an eye (unintentional pun) if I was 75, but at 29... it's worrisome. Because of that, I got some blood drawn yesterday for them to test for potential viruses and all of that, and then this evening at 5pm, I get to have an MRI. They're also trying to go ahead and get a neurology appointment set up for me. They talked to one place yesterday, but the soonest appointment they had was August 9th.
My mother-in-law will probably be coming in to town to look after Damian during my MRI. If it does reveal an obvious problem, they won't let me leave the hospital.
So, there's your update? When I know something, I'll pass that along, too.

Date: 2013-06-13 03:23 pm (UTC)They did rule out high blood pressure, at least? Also, I had to laugh because the nurse asked if there was a history of "diabeetus" in my family and I could only think of the Wilfred Brumley commercials. There were a few things that are more common for this kind of thing: hyperthyroidism, high blood pressure and diabetes. But the ones they haven't checked yet? I'm at pretty low risk for. So, fingers crossed it's a virus or something?
